Nebraska Public Power District

Nebraska Public Power District is Nebraska's largest electric utility, with a chartered territory including all or parts of 91 of Nebraska's 93 counties. It was formed on Jan. 1, 1970, when Consumers Public Power District, Platte Valley Public Power and Irrigation District (PVPPID) and Nebraska Public Power System merged to become Nebraska Public Power District. Merger properties also included assets formerly operated by Loup River Public Power District. NPPD is a public corporation and political subdivision of the state of Nebraska. The utility is governed by an 11-member Board of Directors, who are popularly elected from NPPD's chartered territory.

The American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) is a national association uniquely serving individuals involved in the management of chambers of all sizes. (What is a Chamber of Commerce?) ACCE's mission is to support and develop chamber professionals to lead businesses and their communities. The organizational vision is that ACCE is the organization of choice for chamber professionals.

ACCE currently has over 7,000 professional members in 1,200 chambers of commerce. These professionals represent local, regional, and state chambers of commerce of all sizes across the United States and Canada.

Our goal is to empower chamber executives with a combination of knowledge, information, networks, connections, and career advancement.

...is a consolidation of the Nebraska State Chamber of Commerce, and Associated Industries of Nebraska.

...is an umbrella organization, representing over 2,000 members -- individuals, businesses, industries, professionals, including 60 chambers of commerce and 75 other Nebraska associations with an underlying grass roots membership of more than 100,000 persons.

...is affiliated with the Chamber of Commerce of the United States and the National Association of Manufacturers, and as an Associate office of the U.S. Government's Department of Commerce.

...is governed by a Board of Directors of 60 leaders representing nearly all geographic sections of the state who determine State Chamber policy and annually elect the officers to lead the organization.

...has a professional staff working out of the headquarters office at 1320 Lincoln Mall in Lincoln, to implement the policies established by the Board.

...is responsive to the ever-changing needs of the Nebraska business community as expressed through the work of the State Chamber's 12 councils, and the decisions of the State Chamber's Board of Directors, which is made up of many of the top business leaders in Nebraska.
